Born in 1961 in Barpak, Gorkha, Hari Bahadur Ghale plunged into politics from Nepal Student Union (NSU) in 1979 and became a unit chairperson of NSU at Paropakar Secondary School in 1980. He served as a member at District Panchayat in 1986. Quitting the post, he joined democratic movement in 1988.

Son of Iman Singh and Jit Maya Ghale, Ghale became a member at District Development Committee (DDC) in 1992 and a vice chairperson in 1997. With NC's district membership in 1991, he served the party as a treasurer for a half decade, a joint secretary for a decade. After that, he became a district chairperson in 2010.

Central Vice Chairperson of Himali Region Development Centre, Ghale holds Proficiency Certificate Level and has four sons.
