Member of the CPN-UML's Kathmandu Valley Coordination Committee Madhusudan Paudel was born on August 24, 1966 in Godawari VDC-5 in Lalitpur. Son of Krishna Prasad Paudel and Sabitri Paudel, Madhusudan has two sons and a daughter. He holds a Bachelor's Degree from the Management Faculty. He is contesting from Lalitpur-1 in the CA Election 2013 representing CPN-UML.

He came into politics during his student days and became joint-secretary of the Free Student Union (FSU) of Namuna Machhindra College, Lagankhel in 1983. Elected as member of the FSU of Nepal Commerce Campus in 1987, Paudel became the FSU president in 1993. Before that, he was elected as the ANNFSU chairman of Lalitpur in 1991.

He was elected as central member of the ANNFSU by the 11th National Convention in 1992 and was appointed as chief of publicity department. In 1994, the 12th National Convention of the ANNFSU again elected Paudel as central member and foreign department chief.

Paudel became a central member of CPN-UML's Lalitpur District Committee in 1994. He also served the party as district committee secretary and won the election to become the district president in 2010.

He contested in the CA Election 2008 from Lalitpur-1 but lost. This is the second time he is contesting a national election.
