Nepali Congress Mahasamiti member Rajendra Kumar KC is known among friends as Rajan. He was born on September 28, 1955 in Chobhar of Kirtipur Municipality-13, Kathmandu. A father of a son and two daughters, Rajan KC is the son of Padma Bahadur KC and Tolkumari KC. He holds a Master's Degree in Political Science. He is contesting from Kathmandu-10 in the CA Election 2013 representing Nepali Congress.

KC was inclined to the movement of Nepal Student Union since 1974 but became active in politics only after the democratic movement of 1990. The same year, he became the chairman of NC's Chobhar Village Committee. In the local election of 1993, KC was elected as ward president of Chobhar Ward no. 2. At the same time, he became a member of District Development Committee from Area no. 15.

After 1993, he became NC's regional chairman and was elected as member of Kirtipur Municipality Ward no. 13 in the local election of 1998. He is also a central member of NC's Local Body Department. He vied for Kathamandu District presidency in the NC's 12th General Convention but lost.

He contested from Kathmandu-10 in the CA Election 2008 as well. He however lost the election with 13 thousand votes. He was associated with many social organizations but is currently involved with the party's work only.
